270 North Apartment 10

Luxury Apartment at Fistral Beach, Newquay, Cornwall

Out & About

Newquay is well placed to explore the whole of Cornwall, and wherever you go the coast is not far away!

In the west you can visit Land's End the most westerly point in England, Lizard Point, the most southerly point in Great Britain, St. Ives with its art galleries, or the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Closer lies Truro, the capital city of Cornwall, dominated by its splendid Cathedral. The Eden Project, with its famous biomes, is even closer and offers a fascinating view of world ecology and plants from different climate zones.

Driving north-east along the North Cornwall coast you pass some of the best beaches and cliff scenery in Britain - watch the rollers come in at the dramatic Watergate Bay, which hosts the Watergate Bay Hotel and Extreme Sports Academy or stop at Bedruthan Steps (NT) and take a spectacular clifftop walk or climb the staircase to the sandy beach.

Camel ValleyJust past Bedruthan comes Padstow, a beautiful fishing village made famous by Rick Stein who now has four restaurants there. You can catch a (pedestrian) ferry to Rock, home to Sharps Brewery as well as well-heeled summer visitors! Or hire a bicycle and take the Camel Trail through Wadebridge towards Bodmin, and perhaps sample the delicious English wines at the Camel Valley Vineyard.
